This is a lucky orange underwing moth that I bravely rescued from a cold and peaty lochan, armed only with a long stick and a fairly good sense of balance. I had G on standby just incase I fell in. We had a lovely walk round the lochan in the sunshine, lots of birdsong and a woodpecker occassionaly hammering away in the distance. It was bliss after too many days cooped up in the studio and I was able to relax knowing I'm on track to have all the work done for the exhibition in good time, hurrah!

Lucky moth! And lucky you for living where you do, surrounded by woodpeckers and lochans...
You're right Pia, it is a pretty special part of the world and I'm a lucky girl.
